Codee Sans Mono

A monospace font for code editors

Type design is a wonderful combination of graphic design, typography, engineering and design systems. My onset into the world of type design began in University with a massive underestimation of the amount of skill and work that goes into creating a good typeface. Now with my second typeface Codee Sans Mono under it's 2nd year of development, I have a much clearer understanding to why some fonts are better than others.

Venturing far beyond it's aesthetic value, a font is a piece of software that requires the type designer to have a clear understanding of a users' goals. A font will be used in countless unintended ways by users and must strive for longevity as a tool for creation.

Codee Sans Mono will officially release sometime in 2017 with the Lost Type Co-op and will feature Regular, Bold and Italics. A custom Atom theme will also accompany the download for developers to see the typeface truly shine in it's intended environment.
